Dr Michel Bonnin, MD, PhD, is a French orthopaedic surgeon, specialized in Knee and Hip arthroplasty, working in Lyon, France, at the Centre Orthopedique Santy. He published many scientific articles and book chapters about knee arthroplasty, biomechanics and anatomy. He is past-President of the French Hip and Knee Society and first Vice-President of the European Knee Society.
After 30 years of surgical experience, he is convinced that the only way to improve outcomes in TKA and THA is to reproduce the native anatomy as closely as possible, and that new technologies such as custom implants, robotics and artificial intelligence are necessary to achieve that goal.

Professor Lewis PK Chan is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong.
He holds the Division Chief and Honorary Consultant positions in the Division of Joint Replacement Surgery at the Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology in Queen Mary Hospital. He also serves as the Co-director of the Joint Replacement Centre at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong.
He is also currently serving as the Immediate Past President of the Adult Joint Reconstruction Chapter in the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association (HKOA), and has been a committee member in international organizations such as the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and SICOT.
With extensive training in arthroplasty surgery from renowned centers in Europe, Professor Chan is highly skilled in his field. He is also an active clinician-researcher with publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Arthroplasty, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and Nature Reviews Rheumatology.
Professor Chan has been recognized for his contributions through various awards, including the Outstanding Staff and Team awards, the David Fang Trophy for the Best Scientific Paper (2019, 2021), and the AR Hodgson Award for the Best Scientific Paper (2023) presented in the Annual Congress of HKOA.
As a certified educator, Professor Chan is deeply committed to educating the next generation of arthroplasty surgeons. He has taught over 100 local and international arthroplasty courses and is a faculty member in AO Recon, a global organization providing education in arthroplasty. Additionally, Professor Chan holds the position of Training Director at his local hospital and serves as a trainer in the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Kevin C. Chung, MD, MS, is the William C. Grabb Distinguished University Professor of Surgery, and the Charles B. G. De Nancrede Professor of Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan. He is the Chief of Hand Surgery for Michigan Medicine and the Associate Director of Global REACH, the medical school’s global health program. He has served for 12 years as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs for which he is responsible for Tenure and Promotions.

Dr. Chung was the 75th President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and Past President of the Plastic Surgery Foundation. He has published over 820 peer-reviewed manuscripts (over 38,000 citations with an H index of 92), over 500 book chapters, and 40 textbooks. He has had continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health for over 25 years. Dr. Chung is the Editor for Hand Clinics, past Deputy Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery (American) and past Associate Editor for Journal of Hand Surgery (European). He is the Editor-in-Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

After my nursing studies I passed the medical exam in Paris, I was trained by various surgeons of great renown in France, Europe and the United States. I worked for 20 years at the « Centre Hospitalier Privé » of Saint Grégoire in France, and I have been at the American Hospital of Paris since 2022. With my associates, we receive and participate in the training of French and foreign surgeons and run a clinical research center specifically dedicated to shoulder pathologies.
I have communicated my research work around the world (8 papers to the American Academy of Orthopeadic Surgery). I received the Best Science Communication Award in 2014 in Japan at the World Congress of Shoulder Surgery. And Recently, I had the privilege of receiving the first ever Hawkins Award from the American Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (ASES), which recognizes the best international scientific work in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery . I have written numerous book chapters and more than 100 scientific articles indexed on Pubmed. I am a former President of the French Shoulder Society (SoFEC), President of the European Society of Shoulder Surgery (SECEC) and a corresponding member of the prestigious American Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (ASES).

Dr Soumen Das De is a Consultant in the Department of Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, and specializes in reconstructive microsurgery of the upper and lower limbs, and hand conditions in children.
He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at NUH in 2013 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) in Edinburgh. He completed a clinical fellowship in hand, wrist and elbow surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery, New York in 2014 followed by a second residency in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery at NUH. More recently, he developed a deeper appreciation of congenital hand surgery as a clinical fellow in Plastic Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Dr Das De has a keen interest in clinical research and obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University. He is presently the Program Director of the Singapore Hand Surgery Residency Program and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education. Dr Das De serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery (USA) and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Hand Surgery (European volume).

Short Biography

Marinus de Kleuver, M.D., PhD. is professor and since 2023 Medical director of the Center for Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery, Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
After secondary education in England, he graduated 'cum laude' from medical school at Leiden University, the Netherlands in 1990. Specialist training was completed in Amsterdam (St Lucas hospital), Buffalo, United States (Erie County Medical Center) and in Nijmegen (Sint Maartenskliniek and Radboud university medical center). From 1998 he pursued a clinical career in spinal surgery in the Sint Maartenskliniek, where he was director of the orthopedic center from 2007-2012. He was appointed professor of spinal surgery at VU university medical center in 2011. In 2016 he was appointed as full professor at Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. There he was chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery from 2016-2023, and since 2023 he is professor and medical director of the center for trauma and reconstructive surgery.
He completed an international executive program (IEP) at INSEAD business school (France) in 2006, and in 2016 followed a leadership program on complexity science (at Santa Fe Institute (SFI), New Mexico, USA).
Clinical work and research is currently focused on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of spinal deformities in children and adults. Most research work concentrates on the evaluation of outcomes and improving care.
He completed a PhD in 1998 (awarded the Dutch Orthopedic Association Mathijssen prize) and has co-authored more than 100 peer reviewed publications and several book chapters.
He is President of the Scoliosis Research Society, and past chair of the AOSpine Knowledge forum for spinal deformity and past chairman of AOSpine Europe.

Dr. Glassman is widely recognized both nationally and internationally as a leader in spinal surgery.
Dr. Glassman is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville. He is Past President of the Scoliosis Research Society, past Chair of the Professional Society Coalition Task Force on Lumbar Fusion and past program chair for the North American Spine Society. He is currently co-chair of the American Spine Registry and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Registry Oversight Committee. Dr. Glassman has been visiting guest Professor throughout the United States and in over 20 countries.
Dr. Glassman has published extensively on efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness in spinal surgery.
He authored landmark studies on sagittal alignment in adult spinal deformity that are the most highly cited publications in the spine deformity literature. He has also published key studies on the use of outcome thresholds such as Minimal Clinically Important Difference (MCID) and Substantial Clinical Benefit (SCB) for spinal surgery. In the registry space, he authored studies on diagnostic classification that have been foundational for major existing spine registries in the US and abroad. Dr. Glassman has also published extensively on cost-effectiveness for both degenerative and deformity spinal surgery.
Dr. Glassman has won numerous honors and awards. He was the first Orthopaedic surgeon to receive the Meritorious Service Award from the American Association of Neurologic Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons Joint Section on Spinal Disorders. He has been a multiple time winner of Outstanding Paper Awards at the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), North American Spine Society (NASS), and the International Meeting for Advanced Spine Techniques (IMAST). Dr. Glassman has published over 300 peer reviewed papers.

Munish C. Gupta, MD, MBA, is currently Emeritus Chief of Spine and the Mildred B. Simon Distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Dr. Gupta is Board certified by ABOS and an internationally known leader in spinal surgery and research. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University in 1986 after completing the accelerated 6 year combined BA, MD Honors Program. After an internship and residency at Northwestern University, he completed a fellowship in spinal surgery in 1992 at the world renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center at University of Louisville. Following his fellowship, he became a clinical instructor at the University of California, Irvine, at the College of Medicine and was also practicing at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. In 1997, he joined the faculty at University of California, Davis. In 2023, he graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors with his Executive M.B.A. from Washington University.
He treats both children and adults with diagnoses of scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis and flatback. Dr. Gupta is the author of more than 260 peer reviewed scientific articles and more than 60 book chapters. He published the Bridwell and DeWald's Textbook of Spinal Surgery 4th edition and the textbook Complex Spine Cases, A Collection of Current Techniques. He has taught and chaired worldwide deformity courses. He has trained over 50 spinal surgeons from all over the world. He is a member of AO Spine, NASS, ABOS, AAOS, ACOS, and AOA. He has participated in volunteer surgical and teaching missions to India, China, Bulgaria, Argentina, Scandinavia, Brazil, Thailand, and Ghana.
Dr. Gupta is a former teacher of the year in orthopedics at UC Davis. Dr. Gupta is a member of the Board of Directors for the Scoliosis Research Society. He has been listed in Best Doctors since 2009.

Dr. Yoon Ha, MD, PhD, received his medical degree and PhD from Yonsei University. He completed his internship and neurosurgery residency at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University in 1999. In 2015, he was appointed Professor of Neurological Surgery at Yonsei University, where he is board certified in the field of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Ha has an active research interest in spinal surgery and basic research, particularly in numerous multicenter outcome research studies of spinal deformities, cervical OPLL, spinal cord injury, spinal trauma, and tumors involving the spinal column. He has served as an Editor in Chief of "Neurospine" (2018-2022) and editor on the Editorial Boards of "Neurosurgery" (2016), "Neurosurgery Focus" (2017), and "Asian Spine Journal" (2017~) and Journal of Neurosurgery-Spine(2023~).
During his career in Neurosurgery, Dr. Ha has won numerous awards for his work. He received the Synthes Award for Research in Spinal Cord Injury and Spinal Column Injury at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons in 2004 (San Francisco). He also received basic science research awards in Cervical Spine Research Societies in 2004 (Boston) and 2009 (Salt Lake City).
Dr. Ha's clinical fields of interest include Adult Spinal Deformity Surgery, Cervical Deformity and Correction Surgery, Cervical OPLL and spondylotic myelopathy, Lumbar Degenerative Disease in aged population, Robotic Spinal Surgery for Spine Tumor Resection, and Biologic Therapy for Malignant Spinal Cord Tumor.

Dr. Heller received his degree in Biochemistry at Harvard University and a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1983). He served as a resident in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University and subsequently as a fellow in spinal surgery at the University of California San Diego. He then joined the Emory University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1989, where he currently serves as the Baur Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as the Director of the Spine Surgery Fellowship program. Dr. Heller’s primary clinical and research interests concern disorders of the cervical spine and reconstructive surgical techniques, especially those which preserve spinal motion. He has helped innovate in the areas of posterior cervical fixation techniques, artificial cervical discs and laminoplasty. As past president of the Cervical Spine Research Society, he has lectured around the world regarding these techniques. He served as a Japanese Orthopaedic Association Travelling Fellow in 1996. Past awards have included the CSRS Outstanding Research Award, European CSRS Mario Boni Research Award and the Volvo Award for lumbar spine research.

Timothy Hewett PhD is a Professor and Director of Research in Marshall Universitys Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the School of Medicine. Dr. Hewett is a pioneering researcher, expert team builder, and collaborative leader as stated on the plaque he received when Mayo Clinic presented him with an Endowed Professorship. He has held multiple leadership positions. which included the Director of the Sports Medicine Research Center, the Biomechanics Laboratories, and the Materials and Structural Testing Core at Mayo Clinic. He was also director of the Sports Health and Performance Institute at Ohio State University, Professor and Director of Sports Medicine Research at OSU, Professor and Director of the Sports Medicine Biodynamics Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and an integral founding member of the Cardiovascular Institute there. He has helped develop strong collaborative teams all over the world, including Australia, Holland, and many institutions across the US, He has given many highly impactful Invited lectures, including Keynote addresses from Australia to the Arctic Circle, and Grand Rounds at Harvard and Yale Universities. He has published over five hundred peer-reviewed publications with eighty thousand citations and an h index of a hundred fifty. Dr. Hewett has had high levels of success in research funding from nationally competitive grants, from industry, and other sources as demonstrated by his past funding support of over Twenty Million US. He has received numerous awards for Paper of the Year in various journals including five Most Cited Paper of The Year in The American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Hewett has trained over a hundred clinician scientists and his trainees have gone on to major leadership roles at many prestigious clinical research institutions.

Kelly K. Hynes, MD, FRCSC is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Uchicago Medicine. She completed residency at the University of Ottawa, Ontario and Fellowship at the University of British Columbia. She is a Fellowship trained Foot and Ankle Surgeon who is very involved in Foot and Ankle Education both locally and nationally. She is an engaged member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society as a member of the Education, Program and Governance Committees. Additionally, she has a passion for improvements in healthcare delivery science, particularly as it pertains to leveraging biomedical informatics tools to improve the quality of care. Short Biography

Graham JW King received his MD degree at the University of British Columbia in 1982. After completing a rotating internship at the University of Alberta he went to the University of Toronto to train in orthopedic surgery. During a research year in Toronto he became interested in orthopedic biomechanics and soft tissue healing. After qualifying as an orthopedic surgeon in 1989 he completed a clinical fellowship in hand and wrist surgery and a Masters of Science degree at the University of Calgary. He then travelled to the Mayo Clinic to gain further clinical experience in wrist and elbow surgery and additional research experience in upper extremity bioengineering. In 1992 he joined
the Department of Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. He established the Bioengineering Laboratory at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Josephs Health Centre. With his collaborators he has developed strong linkages with the Departments of Medical Biophysics and Mechanical Engineering. Over the past thirty years the laboratory has been successful in attracting extensive peer review funding including CIHR, CAS, CAN and NSERC and has numerous industry collaborations. His current research interests focus on the biomechanics of the wrist and elbow as well as computer and image guided surgery. He has received the Premiers Research Excellence Award from the Government of Ontario and the J. Edouard Samson Research Award from the Canadian Orthopedic Research Society. He has represented the Canadian Orthopedic Association as a North American Travelling Fellow and an American, British and Canadian Travelling Fellow. He has also served as the president of the Canadian Orthopedic Research Society. He is currently a Professor in the Departments of Surgery, Medical Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, Chief of Surgery and Director of the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Josephs Health Centre.

Eric O. Klineberg, MD, MS, is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UTHealth Houston. He serves as Chief of Orthopedic Spine Surgery and also holds the Milton Chip Routt Endowed Chair of Spinal Surgery.
World-renowned in his field, Dr. Klineberg was a Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopedics, at the University of California, Davis, where he has been for the last 16 years. He was also the Chief of the Spine service and the Co-Director of the Spine Center. Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Klineberg has been academically productive through collaboration both locally and nationally. He has over 290 publications and 20 book chapters as well as the book editor for Adult Lumbar Scoliosis, A Clinical Guide to Diagnosis and Management. He has developed a national and international reputation in Spinal Deformity surgery through research, teaching, and clinical activity. Dr. Klineberg serves on the executive committee of the International Spine Study Group and collaborates with researchers around the globe. He is a principal or co-principal investigator for more than a half-dozen clinical studies and has received numerous medical and educational grants.
Nationally, Dr. Klineberg is active in the Scoliosis Research Society as a Board Member and is the Chair-Elect for the 31st International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques in San Diego. He is also an active member of AO Spine, he has served as the Chair of the AOSNA spine fellowship committee and is the Chair-elect of AO Spine North America, effective July 2023. He has also been recognized for clinical excellence at UC Davis and in Sacramento as a Top Doctor for the past 6 years and has several internal awards. His honors include JOA/AOA traveling fellow, awards for best papers/research, election to AOA and ABJS, as well as multiple keynote lectures and visiting professorships.

Lucas McDonald, a native of Willits, CA, attended the United States Naval Academy and Tulane University School of Medicine and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, LA, graduating in 2005 as a Medical Doctor and Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
McDonald completed a Basic Surgery Internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), a tour as a Flight Surgeon, and graduated in 2013 from Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at (NMCSD). From 2014-2015 he completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY.
He has since worked at NMCSD in various roles to include the Director of Orthopaedic Research, the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Associate Program Director, the Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Chief of Surgery. Joshua A. Parry, MD, specializes in the surgical treatment of complex fractures and infections involving the upper and lower limbs (hips to toes, shoulders to wrists) in both adults and children. He has been practicing at Denver Health since 2018. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is a clinical instructor of medical students, orthopaedic residents, and orthopaedic trauma fellows. He is the director of orthopaedic research and education at Denver Health and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles. Dr. Parry is originally from Keller, Texas. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree from the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas at Houston and completed his residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the Orlando Regional Medical Center with Dr. George Haidukewych. Outside of work, Dr. Parry enjoys all that Colorado has to offer, including mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, ice hockey, rollerblading, running, biking, swimming, hiking, and craft beer.

Dr. Javad Parvizi, MD, FRCS, has recently assumed the role of Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Acibadem University in Istanbul, boasting an impressive career spanning over 25 years in surgery and research. His extensive experience includes conducting more than 10,000 surgical procedures, with a notable expertise in performing over 1,000 hip joint preservation surgeries. Dr. Parvizi has earned worldwide recognition for his pioneering work in the management of periprosthetic joint infection and venous thromboembolism.
After completing medical school in the UK, Dr. Parvizi embarked on a four-year surgical training in cardiothoracic surgery in Great Britain. He then ventured to the United States in 1995, where he pursued a Research Fellowship in Molecular Biology, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency, both at Mayo Clinic. Subsequently, he undertook a fellowship in Switzerland, focusing on the management of hip disorders in young adults, during which he trained under the mentorship of Professor Reinhold Ganz at the Inselspital in Bern. In 2003, Dr. Parvizi joined the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and held the position of James Edward Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine until September 2023.
Dr. Parvizi's leadership extends to his roles as president of the Musculoskeletal Infection Society (2013), president of the Eastern Orthopedic Association (2018), and his participation on the boards of various prestigious organizations. Currently, he serves as the President of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He is also the co-founder of the International Consensus Group, a global assembly of experts from 190 countries that convened in Philadelphia in 2013 and 2018 to produce a 2000-page compendium considered the definitive resource on orthopedic infections.

Short Biography

Dr. Ferran Pellisé completed his orthopedic surgery training at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. Since 1995, he is entirely dedicated to the surgical treatment of spinal disorders, particularly in scoliosis and other spinal deformities. He serves as the Chief of Spine Surgery at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Director of the Spine Service at Hospital Quirón Barcelona, and Professor of Orthopedics at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

Dr. Pellisé has authored over one-hundred ninety peer-reviewed papers. His research in spinal deformities has received prestigious recognitions, including the Hibbs Award twice, the Louis A Goldstein Award, and the Whitecloud Award from the Scoliosis Research Society. Moreover, he has been honored with the Best Paper Award from EuroSpine-The Spine Society of Europe, the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, BASS-British Association of Spinal Surgeons, and GEER-The Spanish Spine Society. He contributes extensively to scholarly journals as a board member and served as Deputy Editor of the European Spine Journal from 2005 to 2015. His leadership roles include presidencies in various medical associations, such as the Spanish Spine Society and the Spine Society of Europe, while also serving as a Director at Large and Secretary for the Scoliosis Research Society.
Twelve years ago, Dr. Pellisé co-founded the European Spine Study Group (ESSG) alongside other renowned researchers specializing in adult spinal deformities. Today, the ESSG holds a prominent position as a global platform dedicated to the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of adult spinal deformities.

Dr. Marc J. Philippon is the Managing Partner of The Steadman Clinic and Chairman of Steadman Philippon Research Institute. Dr. Philippon joined The Steadman Clinic in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he served as Director of Sports Medicine/Hip Disorders, Director of Sports Medicine/Hip Disorders Fellowship. He also was the Director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Golf Medicine Program. Previously, he served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He earned his medical degree with an academic scholarship from McMaster University Medical School in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1990, and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1995.

Dr. Philippon is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a former President and Founding Member of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), and an elected member of the Herodicus Society. Dr. Philippon is a consultant to the NHLPA and the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (Real Federación Española de Tenis) and many other professional organizations. Dr. Philippon is also a Trustee with the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation and the US Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation.

Dr. Philippon lives in Colorado with his wife and three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports such as cycling, skiing, ice hockey, swimming, and golfing.

Professor Andrew Price, BA MBB (Ch) FRCS, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics), DPhil Professor Andrew Price studied medicine at the University of Cambridge (Gonville and Caius College) before completing his clinical studies at St.Thomas' Hospital in London. For his Orthopaedic training he joined the Oxford training programme in 1997, becoming a Clinical Lecturer in NDORMS in 2001.
He was awarded a DPhil in 2003 through the University of Oxford (Worcester College), studying the Oxford partial knee replacement. He then completed a year of specialist Knee Fellowship training in Melbourne, returning to NDORMs and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in 2004, where he was subsequently appointed Reader and Honorary Consultant in Knee Surgery.
In 2011, through the University of Oxford Recognition of Distinction exercise, he was made a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at NDORMS. His clinical work as a Consultant Knee Surgeon is based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, where he has recently been appointed to Clinical Director T&O.
His research is based in NDORMS at the Botnar Centre, where he Leads the Knee Research Group.
Andrew is Fellow of Worcester College (Tutor for Graduate Entry Medical Studies), a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, member of the UK National Joint Registry Steering Committee and Past President of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK).

Dr S Rajasekaran is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery in Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India. He is the Immediate Past President of the Asia Pacific Spine Society, the Past Chair of AOSpine International, SICOT, ISSLS and CSRS-AP. Apart from busy clinical work, he is also interested in research which is concentrated on outcomes of major trauma, disc degeneration and spinal infections. He is the recipient of ISSLS Award for five years, NASS Outstanding paper award for four consecutive years and the EuroSpine Open Paper Award.

Dr. Randall is the David Linn Endowed Chair of Orthopaedics at the University of Davis, California. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery training with residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

Prior to joining UC Davis, Dr. Randall was a professor and the L.B. and Olive S. Young Presidential Endowed Chair for Cancer Research at the University of Utah and served as the Director of Sarcoma Services at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Primary Children's Medical Center. He also developed and directed the Huntsman Intermountain Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Care Program.

Dr. Randall's clinical practice and research focus on musculoskeletal surgical oncology and building leading-edge transdisciplinary teams to combat rare cancers of connective tissue in children and adults. His translational research efforts have been recognized internationally, including his work as chief of the Sarcoma Array Research Consortium (SARC) lab, a laboratory investigating the molecular genetic mechanisms that give rise to sarcomas, his help in the development of a genetically engineered mouse model at the University of Utah, in cooperation with Nobel Prize co-winner Mario Capecchi, and his technical advancements in limb salvage surgery.

Dr. Randall has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts in the field of sarcoma surgery and biology. He has received numerous national and international awards. He is co-director of the University of California, Davis MUSCLE NIH T32 training grant and is chair of the Internal Advisory Committee for the University of California, Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Short Biography

Dr. Rozental is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, where she is the Division Chief and Fellowship Program Director for Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Born in London, to Mexican parents, she spent her early years moving between Latin America and Europe. She completed an undergraduate degree at Bryn Mawr College and was the valedictorian of her medical school class at Cornell University before becoming an orthopaedic surgery resident at the Hospital for the University of Pennsylvania. She obtained additional training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston before joining the faculty at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2005.

Dr. Rozental's major contributions and achievements have focused on musculoskeletal health and skeletal fragility, using clinical practice not only to advance patient care, but also to better understand and improve the management of osteoporosis. Throughout this process, she has obtained extramural funding from the NIH, ASSH, OREF and several other foundations. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters and served as the Editor-in-Chief forThe Journal of Hand Surgery Global Online(JHSGO).

At a national and international level, she has been an active and engaged member of multiple professional societies. She was selected as a Leadership Fellow for theAmerican Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeonsin 2014 and the Sterling Bunnell traveling fellow for TheAmerican Society of Surgery for the Hand(ASSH) in 2015. At the ASSH, she has served as the founding director of the Hand Fellowship Director's Association and Research Director and is currently the President-Elect. Dr. Rozental completed the TheHedwig van AmeringenExecutive Leadership in Academic Medicine program in 2023.

Dr. Lew Schon, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the foot and ankle for thirty three years. He is currently practicing at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore MD where he is director of Orthopaedic Innovation for the department of Orthopaedics and member of the Institute of Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. He is also at New York University Langone where he is Clinical Prof of Orthopaedics and practices there on a part time basis. He is active in the Foot & Ankle Fellowship and Residency training programs at Mercy, NYU, University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins.Biomechanics, orthobiologics and clinical studies have resulted in over two hundred peer-reviewed papers and over hundred other publications. He is a co- inventor of the Airlift brace, the ProStop, Toe Guard, Pneumatic Night Splint and the Zimmer TM Ankle Replacement. He is former president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

Dr. Schwab is the Director of Spine Oncology from the Department of Orthopadic Surgery at Cedars Sinai Hospital In Los Angeles where he is also Professor of Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Schwab is the Director of the Center for Surgical Innovation and Engineering (CSIE) at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where his team develops predictive models using Machine Learning. In addition, CSIE develops wearable devices and implants including acoustic wearable devices used in assessing muscle physiology and pathophysiology. Their plantar pressure mapping devices has been used in clinical trials and has a particular utility in assessing balance.
Dr. Schwab served as the chief of spine surgery and the director of the SORG laboratory during his tenure at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School from 2007- 2023.

After completing specialty training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Segal earned a master's degree in clinical investigation. To date, I have authored or co-authored over 170 manuscripts describing investigations in the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study, the Osteoarthritis Initiative and independent clinical trials focused on imaging protocols and outcomes. Dr. Segal's initial investigations focused on the use of imaging and motion analysis to assess the mechanism by which obesity contributes to risk for knee joint damage. He then initiated work on the application of volumetric imaging in predicting incident symptomatic knee osteoarthritis and structural knee joint damage. His experience conducting clinical research, in which he has acquired radiographs, CT, MRI and ultrasound images of thousands of knees over the past 20 years enables Dr. Segal to comprehensively assess knee imaging protocols. His expertise in clinical management of osteoarthritis, training in epidemiology and advanced imaging allow application of these skills to a variety of research projects. There are three arms to Dr. Segal's clinical research program. One uses diagnostic imaging to identify factors which predict who will develop painful knee osteoarthritis in the future so that preventive interventions can be designed. Another involves use of rehabilitation programs to improve mobility in people with knee osteoarthritis. The third is aimed at reducing risk for musculoskeletal problems that occur with pregnancy. The longterm goals of his research program are to reduce risk for disablement due to knee osteoarthritis and other lower limb musculoskeletal problems. Dr. Segal's clinical practice involves the use of ultrasound and other imaging modalities to serve patients with musculoskeletal problems.

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Vanderbilt University for my undergraduate studies in biology. I then attended the University of Tennessee College Medicine and then completed my residency training at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Following this, I went on to complete my spine surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia under the tutelage of Dr. John Heller and Dr. John Rhee. After fellowship, I began my practice at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where I currently serve as the Program Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery residency program and Chief of Spine Surgery.

Dr. Paul Tornetta, III is Chief and Chair, Professor and Residency Program Director in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma for the Boston Medical Center. Dr. Tornetta received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and mathematics from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn. He earned his medical degree from SUNY-Health Science Center at Brooklyn (NY), where he also completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery, followed by a fellowship in Acetabular/Pelvic Fractures at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles under Joel Matta, MD. He received his PhD from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

Dr. Tornetta has expertise in multicenter trials and trial methodology, serving on the executive committees of the SPRINT, FAITH, TRUST, and FLOW trials. He leads the Orthopaedic Trauma Research Consortium and was on the executive committee of the department of defense funded METRC consortium. He has lectured extensively worldwide on orthopaedic trauma, evidence-based literature application, and education. He has served on the faculty of more than 250 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS) CME, Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) and international symposia and skills courses as well as developing new educational programs for these organizations. An author of more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Tornetta is also a lead editor for Rockwood and Green’s textbook on fracture care (an industry standard) and an editor of multiple other textbooks and textbook series. The AAOS’s new resident orthopaedic core knowledge curriculum (ROCK) was released under his co-editorship and guidance. He has contributed to the field with the development of new surgical techniques as well as implants.

Dr. Tornetta has served many roles for national and international orthopaedic associations. He has been the chair of multiple committees, served on the board, was Chair of the Council on Education for the AAOS, is a past president of the OTA and was an American British Canadian (ABC) traveling fellow. He is currently in the Presidential line for the AAOS and his Presidential year will be 2024-2025. The recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation clinical research award, Two Kappa Delta Awards, several BUSM Robert E. Leach Resident Teaching Awards and OTA Bovill Awards, Dr. Tornetta has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor every year since 1999 and Boston Magazine Top Doc since 2006.

Dr. Vaccaro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston College in 1983 with a B.S. in Biology.
He received his M.D. degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he earned membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha(AOA) Honor Society and graduated with honors in 1987.
He completed a year of Surgical Internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA followed by Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University, where he graduated in 1992. Dr. Vaccaro completed a Spine Fellowship at the University of San Diego, CA. He earned a PhD in 2007 in the field of Spinal Trauma.
Dr. Vaccaro is the Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the recipient of the Leon Wiltse award given for excellence in leadership and clinical research for spine care by the North American Spine Society (NASS) and is the past President of Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS), the American Spinal Injury Association, The Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society, and the Association for Collaborative Spine Research.
He has over 1,000 peer-reviewed and 220 non-peer reviewed publications. He has published over 380 book chapters, is the editor of over 65 textbooks, and former deputy editor of Spine. Currently, Dr. Vaccaro is the President of Rothman Institute, Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Co-Director of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley, and Co-Director of the Spine Fellowship program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he instructs current fellows and residents in the diagnosis and treatment of various spinal problems and disorders.

Dr. Eric Wagner works at the Emory Clinic where he specializes patients with complex wrist and upper extremity pathologies. He is internationally renowned for his innovations in arthroscopic treatment of wrist arthritis and wrist ligament injuries, arthroscopic treatment of thumb arthritis and trauma, arthroscopic treatment of distal radius and scaphoid fractures, wrist and finger arthroplasty, DRUJ arthritis and instability, recurrent wrist instability from hyperlaxity, and muscle transfers for the paralytic shoulder and elbow. He has received several national and international awards for his ground-breaking clinical research investigating a variety of topics in the upper extremity. For example, he received the top ASSH Clinical research Award in 2020 and the ASES Clinical Neer Award in 2022, both for leading randomized controlled trials on postoperative pain control. He also has a strong translational science research interest in cartilage and tendon-bone interface regeneration using stem cells, growth factors, surgical and biomechanical therapies. Dr. Wagner is well known throughout the nation and the world, having published 260 peer-reviewed journal articles, traveling to deliver delivered over 600 presentations national and international meetings, authored over 15 book chapters, and edited 2 textbooks. He serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Hand Surgery GO and the ASSH Hand.e, as well as multiple committees at the American Society of Surgery for the Hand and the American Shoulder and Elbow Society. He received the prestigious Richard Gelberman Traveling Fellowship through the ASSH in 2021 with a focus on Innovations in Wrist Arthroscopy. Furthermore, he received the North American Traveling Fellowship from the American Orthopaedic Association in 2022. In his free time, Dr. Wagner enjoys fly fishing, tango and swing dancing, skiing, playing and watching basketball, traveling and reading.

Guo Wei has been Chairman and Professor of Department of Orthopedic Oncology, Director of Bone Tumor Research Laboratory at The People's Hospital of Peking University since 2002. The Musculoskeletal Tumor Center at The People’s Hospital which has over 20 doctors and 100 beds for tumor patient, is the largest Orthopedic Oncology Center in China.

He has served as Chairman of Chinese Musculoskeletal Tumor Sosiety (CMSTS) for four 3-year terms. He was Chairman of Asia-Pacific Musculoskeletal Tumor Sosiety (APMSTS) from 2006 to 2008, and Chairman of International Society on Limb Salvage (ISOLS) between 2009 and 2011.

He has been the Board Member of International Society on Limb Salvage (ISOLS) since 2007, the Board Member of Asia-Pacific Musculoskeletal Tumor Sosiety (APMSTS) since 2004, and the Board Member of Chinese Orthopaedic Association, Board Member of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology since 2005.
